Assistance with nearly 140,000 euros to four entities that serve vulnerable groups (05/01/2020)

The Department of Social and Family Rights, directed by Pilar Torres, continues to promote collaboration agreements with non-profit organizations established in the municipality of Murcia that serve and promote actions aimed at those groups with the greatest social vulnerability.

Thus, the granting of subsidies, for a total amount of 139,000 euros, has been approved for the Fundación CEPAIM Acción Integral con Migrantes, the Educa Association, the Oblate Community of the Most Holy Redeemer and the International Association of Hope Telephone.

The agreement approved with the CEPAIM Foundation, Integral Action with Migrants, will allow the development of its humanitarian reception center project aimed at immigrants in situations of vulnerability and social exclusion '.

The objective is to offer coverage of the basic housing and maintenance needs of people in situations of vulnerability and social exclusion, providing the necessary tools to function in the host society.

The subsidy amounts to 48,000 euros.

On the other hand, the City Council collaborates with the Educa Association for the development of the educational project Escuela Infantil Educa, aimed at around 40 minors in Espinardo with ages between twelve months and four years of age, which is extended to eight years to Summer school

The majority of children belong to families in the area at high risk of social exclusion.

The agreement provides for the granting of an annual grant of a nominative nature, which for the current year is 59,000 euros.

Likewise, an aid will be given to the Community Oblate Sisters of the Most Holy Redeemer who dedicates her attention to women with a high level of social vulnerability and who lives in a situation of exclusion, a task she develops together with professionals, volunteers and lay people. .

The grant, of 22,000 euros, is intended for the development of a pre-employment training course that uses an accompaniment methodology in the processes of incorporation into the labor market, designing, along with women, individualized labor insertion itineraries and access to resources both Public character as private.

The recipients of the course are women over 18, immersed in contexts of risk or serious situation of social exclusion, some of them, with a basic level of Spanish and who have motivation for learning and to initiate a process of personal change, choosing it voluntarily and committed to regular attendance.

Finally, the City Council grants a grant of 10,000 euros to the International Association of Hope Telephone for the realization of projects, courses and activities

The Association has among its preferential purposes to provide, free of charge, anonymously and specialized, a permanent emergency assistance service, by phone or in person, to all persons, families or groups who request it in a conflict situation.

The crisis in which life, mental health and physical or mental integrity of people are a priority and preferential action.
