Cemetery History

The neoclassical municipal cemetery.

The main facade, from 1894, is the work of the municipal architect Pedro Celdrán.

Three years after lifting it, the first official funeral would be held.

The first cemetery had 100,000 square meters, while the current dimensions are exactly double.

A part of the current cemetery goes to Al-maqbara - Muslim cemetery.

It is built in non-blessed areas, since it was previously used as a suicide zone.

The first Muslim burial took place in 1998.
