An agreement with Cepaim will improve the coexistence of families residing in municipally owned housing (02/01/2020)

The councilor responsible for the Housing Service, Paqui Pérez, will sign an agreement with the Cepaim Foundation that will allow the development of actions that improve the living conditions of families living in municipally owned homes, in aspects related to neighborhood coexistence, mutual collaboration, social support and any other action whose objective affects the development and well-being of people living in social housing.

Among the objectives of this agreement are:

Establishment of resources destined to the improvement of the living conditions of the families that reside in the social dwellings of municipal ownership.

Encourage mutual collaboration to carry out training, information and improvement of living together in the neighborhoods and districts where these homes are located.

Improve the coordination and planning of any activity that affects families residing in social housing.

Start-up of mediation actions in families with serious problems of living together.

Planning activities related to the care and maintenance of housing aimed at tenant families.

Development of the RED-Connecting project in the 507 homes of the Infante Juan Manuel neighborhood.

It is a pioneering and experimental initiative that is being carried out in this neighborhood, where a high percentage of homes are municipal and whose main objective is the improvement of neighborhood living.

The Department of Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation, through the Housing Service, manages the municipal housing park consisting of just over 1,000 homes distributed throughout the municipality of Murcia, carrying out actions related to social housing, the Respect for coexistence and common spaces, the promotion of social rent and the promotion of people belonging to social groups that are in a situation of residential and social vulnerability.

The agreement between the Housing Service of the City of Murcia with the Cepaim Foundation meets the purpose of promoting a model of inclusive and intercultural society that facilitates access to housing for the most vulnerable people, developing actions to combat any form of exclusion Social.
