The boys and girls prepare their cotillion for New Year's Eve from the Christmas Tree (30/12/2019)

The Abraham project is responsible for carrying out this activity in which the little ones will decorate their hat and mask for the New Year's Eve party tomorrow and tomorrow.

In addition, the Children's New Year's Eve will take place tomorrow at 12.00, with the show 'The Kingdom of the Reverse'.

The Tree has a Paje Real Solidarity Point to donate toys that will be delivered to other children in the municipality.

The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, and the Councilor for Social and Family Rights, Pilar Torres, visited the Christmas Tree workshops this morning where the little ones prepare their New Year's Eve party.

Specifically, children decorate their hat and cloth mask, previously prepared by the users of the Atelier El Costurerico, a clothing workshop that is part of the project of labor insertion of the Abraham Project, whose objective is the incorporation into the labor market of people in a situation of social vulnerability.

In addition to this workshop, they have developed other Christmas creatives such as a tree or sock to decorate the house.

“These days are to be enjoyed by family and friends and remember important values ​​such as solidarity and teamwork.

Our Christmas Tree thus becomes a meeting and learning point, in which these concepts are evident through the various workshops and activities, â€said Councilor José Guillén.

Likewise, Pilar Torres appreciates the work of the women of the Abraham Project, as well as the implementation of this initiative “with which, in addition to their social involvement, children and the elderly work on other concepts such as sustainability through the reuse of a resource like the web â€.

The workshops continue today in the morning, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and in the afternoon, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

In addition to this activity, children can plant a tree, participate in the Chalkboard of their Majesties, which Terra Natura carries out, and develop Christmas crafts to decorate the house these days.

The Mini Chef workshop will not be missing for today, in which children can learn to make Christmas cookies.

Tomorrow, New Year's Eve for Children

The children go into the New Year tomorrow with a special New Year's Eve party.

The Christmas Tree will host, at 12 noon, a children's celebration where instead of grapes there will be jelly beans and the musical 'The kingdom of the reverse' will be staged.

It is a show designed for the public of all ages.

Its protagonist is Rosa, a girl with a lot of imagination who will try to live numerous adventures.

This show is an original idea by Joaquín Gómez and the musical adaptations are carried out by the Massotti Conservatory of Music of Murcia.

The workshops will continue in the morning, from 11.30 to 12.00, with the preparation of the cotillion, tree planting, La Pizarra de sus Majestades and the Mini Christmas Chef of Terra Natura.

Solidarity point

The Tree has a Paje Real Solidarity Point, where children who wish may donate their toys for other children to enjoy.

In return, they will receive chocolate doubloons (more than 50,000).

A Royal Mailbox has also been enabled, in which they can deliver their letters.

More than 120 events

The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, directed by José Guillén, organizes in this space more than 120 cultural events, including concerts, dance, Christmas workshops and activities until January 5, during the schedule of 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

'Atelier Ornaments for your Tree', 'Plant your Christmas Tree', 'Sew your Christmas Sock', 'Create your Christmas hat', 'Prepare your Cotillion', 'Terra Christmas Crafts' and 'Mini Christmas Chef' of Terra Natura ;

'Mini Chef: Fruit tartlets' and 'Mini Chef: Roscón de Reyes' of the Hospitality School of the City of Murcia, as well as 'Mini Chef: Mantecados Murcia' and 'Mini Chef: Christmas Rolls' of the Cultural Association of Chiefs of the Region of Murcia (JECOMUR) are some of the activities of the program.
