Work is progressing that will prevent the lack of communication due to torrential rains on the RM-F19 road in Gea and Truyols (28/12/2019)

The councilor of Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, has visited the works that are being undertaken on the RM-F19 road, in Gea and Truyols, with which the problems of isolation of the district through this road will be avoided, due to to flood it in several sections.

The road presented problems of transverse drainage along its route from Pelada house to the Riquelme Station, since the ramblas that cross the road have undergone modifications in the original runoff path and in the course of river waters.

The mayor explains that this caused torrential rains to seriously affect the road with floods and trawling of farmland that leaves the road out of service at many points along the route.

In this way, the works contemplate the adequacy of the road, elevating it, so that the passage of the waterfront does not affect the traffic flow.

For this, there will be batteries of prefabricated concrete pipes, which will allow the passage of runoff waters, forming what is known as a transversal drainage work, executing on them the road and pedestrian sign.

The necessary services will be modified, such as public lighting, adapting the columns to the new level and deviations of services, such as supply, telecommunications and others.

The necessary vertical and horizontal signaling will also be provided to the roads, as well as the urban protection elements, due to the unevenness that will be generated between the level of the new pavement and the rambla, as they are protection biondas.

Specifically, it acts with two transversal drainage works, one in 'New Houses' and the other in 'Los Mazones'.

"With these actions we continue our commitment in districts and neighborhoods improving their services and services and thus improving the quality of life of the neighbors", highlights the councilor of Pedanías and Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández.

The works are being carried out by Trisacor Infraestructuras y Servicios SL with a budget of 122,813 euros.

The project is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, which coordinates the Department of Pedanías and Barrios.
