An agreement with the Action Against Hunger Foundation will enhance the labor insertion and self-employment of unemployed and at risk of exclusion (27/12/2019)

The Government Board has approved a grant agreement with the Action Against Hunger Foundation (FACH) to promote self-employment and access to the working world for unemployed people and groups at risk of social exclusion.

The development of this agreement will be effective between the Employment service of the City of Murcia and the aforementioned foundation and will have the purpose of carrying out the programs that are within the Vives Project, co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Murcian council.

The programs are as follows:

You live Employ: This is a project that promotes the acquisition of social skills and basic skills for employment through teamwork using an innovative methodology in group intervention as a key element in the job search.

The objective is to facilitate access to the working world of people with difficulties in finding a job.

It is co-financed by the City of Murcia with an amount of 29,928 euros.

In 2018 the number of participants was 150 people;

79 inserts for others;

10 formative insertions;

783 hours of group sessions;

392 individual sessions and 72 companies contacted.

Vives Emprende: This is another project focused on promoting the inclusive entrepreneurship of unemployed and at risk of exclusion for the creation and development of businesses or autonomous employment of young people with low qualification, women with family charges, long-term unemployed, immigrants, Among other groups.

The specific objective is to promote the social and self-employment insertion of people with difficulties in accessing the labor market, through their personal development, the strengthening of their entrepreneurial skills and their technical training.

It is co-financed by the City of Murcia with an amount of 6,040 euros.

In 2018, 74 people were served, of which 49 have carried out a Canvas model of business idea analysis and 38 complete business plans have been developed.

In addition, 7 financial intermediations have been successfully completed (six microcredits granted by Microbank and a contest won by an entrepreneur).

5 businesses have been created and others are about to be created.
