Murcia rewards its young people (21/12/2019)

The Circus Theater last night hosted the awards gala to distinguish the best artists and creatives of the XXVII edition of CreaMurcia.

In total last night 47 artists or groups were awarded, first, second and third prize, or first prize and accésits, depending on the modality.

The jury of each of the disciplines has been chaired by Councilwoman Rebeca Pérez, as well as by specialists of recognized professional, intellectual, cultural or artistic prestige, taking into account in their assessments creativity, artistic quality and conceptual innovation.

In this edition about 1,600 young people have participated in each of the disciplines of the Contest.

In total, more than 15,000 people have attended the events that have taken place throughout the year.

As for the events carried out, 12 concerts, 10 stage performances, 8 exhibitions of plastic arts, photography, visual arts, comic and fashion design, gastronomic shows, 8 audiovisual projections, fashion shows, as well as literary recitals stand out.

"With this contest we seek to promote and promote the creativity of young people, awaken vocations and concerns, in addition to manufacturing spaces, scenarios and opportunities for young people to express their talent," said the Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez.

The call for CreaMurcia 2019 has included 13 disciplines: Performing Arts, Plastic Arts, Visual Arts, Comic, Shorts and Documentaries, Photography, Gastronomy, Literature (Story, Poetry and Short Story), Pop-Rock Music, Other Trends, Music Song of Author, Fashion Design and Graphic Design.

CreaMurcia has incorporated online registrations.

In addition, this year the budget has reached 204,000 euros, plus an additional 15,000 euros to facilitate the use of rehearsals for music groups.

In addition, the winners have had the option to participate in the poster of numerous festivals that will be held in the municipality, such as: Lemon Pop, Big-Up, Repanocha, Christmas Rock, #Murciasemueve, Made in Murcia or interventions in the inauguration of the Paseo Alfonso X, Christmas Market, etc.

and they will have the possibility to participate in the next International Biennial of Young Creators of Europe and the Mediterranean that will be held next year in San Marino.
