Cardinal Belluga Square hosts the ninth edition of Christmas Rock this afternoon (20/12/2019)

The Christmas Rock Solidario de Murcia returns one more year and does so with its ninth edition.

It will be Friday, at 7.30 pm, in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga.

Six luxury voices

Six singers will give voice to the traditional Christmas songs to the rhythm of pop, rock and roll and soul, accompanied by the veteran band Christmas Rock Banda, composed of musicians of renowned trajectory such as José Antonio Herrera on guitar, Marcos Justo Romero on bass, Miguel Ángel Gómez on drums and Joaquín Lucas García on the keyboard.

Under the baton of José Antonio Herrera, the following voices will meet on the stage of Cardinal Belluga Square:

Carmen Alarcón: Murcian singer, with a very personal voice range, from the band AA Mama that, at present, is presenting 'Llama when you arrive', a fantastic EP of five songs.

She was the winner, along with Pablo García, of CreaMurcia 2015, in the section of 'author song'.

Fernando Rubio: Founder of Ferroblues and Malaventura, he is one of the great names of rhythm and blues and soul in Spain.

He currently presents his second solo album 'Cheap Chinese Guitar'.

Jesús Cobarro: Composer, singer and producer.

It is premiere with 'Here, s That Bliss You Left Behind', an LP that will be released this Friday, December 13.

José Luis Manzareno: He led the group Eighth Passenger.

In 2020 he will present a new solidarity album called 'La vida Iluminada'.

He will be at Christmas Rock presenting a preview of his new work, 'Hay Luz', a song linked to Christmas traditions.

Laura Uve: Artistic name of Laura Vidal who, after years collecting her own songs, has decided to undertake a project on the occasion of the CreaMurcia 2018 contest, where she won the category of 'author song'.

María de Juan: Singer of Cartagena descent who will present in February his first work, '24 / 7 ', produced by Manuel Cabezalí, in which the singer and keyboardist Víctor Cabezuelo, leader of the band Rufus T. Firefly participated.

This free concert, which also has a solidarity character, since one of its objectives is to give visibility and presence to different NGOs, is organized by the Department of Seniors, Disability and Development Cooperation.
