The City Council of Murcia will have a regulation of the Municipal and District Boards by the end of 2020 (17/12/2019)

The Special Commission on Social Recovery, Integration and Citizen Participation Strategies that chairs the Councilor for the Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation has established the need to establish two regulations, one for the operation of the Municipal and District Boards and the other for Citizen Participation that regulates neighborhood groups and associations.

Meet the deadlines

In this way, the members of the commission have pledged to have the regulations of the Municipal and District Boards ready by the end of 2020 and that it can be approved in the ordinary Plenary of the month of December.

The municipal political groups will have a term until next March to make contributions.

In this sense, the mayor Paqui Pérez has highlighted "the need to move forward in this matter and assume our responsibility to meet the deadlines set and that the Municipal and District Boards have regulated as soon as possible its operation."

Once this work has been completed, the members of the commission will begin to work, together with groups and associations, in that of Citizen Participation.

Participatory process

For this, it is necessary to open a participatory process that will begin in April, where associations and groups can make their contributions and proposals through the municipal website.

From Murcia City Council, all the necessary information will be offered to facilitate this participation process that the members of the commission consider fundamental.

Plans and strategic projects

Another of the objectives set by the Special Commission on Strategies for Social Recovery, Integration and Citizen Participation is to know in depth the strategic and development plans and projects that are underway in the municipality of Murcia, setting a special interest in those related to the social recovery and integration, economic, commercial, employment, innovation and participation promotion actions.

Annual memory

In addition, they have set as an obligation to carry out an annual report that includes the evolution of the work and conclusions gathered by the commission, in addition to promoting measures to improve the projects and actions under study by this commission.
