The Employment service oriented more than 2,000 people and assisted in the creation of 600 jobs during 2019 (17/12/2019)

The Councilor for Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism, Pedro José García Rex, presented this morning the report-report of the municipal Employment service of 2019.

García Rex has explained that "one of the challenges of the local government is to promote and develop policies aimed at facilitating and ensuring the creation and maintenance of employment in the municipality of Murcia, promoting continuous training and advancing in the labor insertion of groups more vulnerable. "

Of the figures included in this report, which can be found on the website www.murciaemplea.es , the orientation of a total of 2,440 people and the collaboration in the creation of 600 jobs stand out.

Orientation and employment exchange

Specifically, the Guidance Department has advised 1,435 women and 1,005 men, of which 954 are under 30 and 1,486 are over 30. In addition, 64 young people under 30 have enrolled in the National Guarantee File Youth.

In addition to the guidance department, from Murcia City Council a free and comprehensive service is provided to companies in the incorporation of workers, adapting the requested profile and the interests of both parties, supporting the pre-selection of candidates and finally conducting insertion follow-ups.

In total, 213 job offers have been managed for 250 different professional profiles, with a total of 408 confirmed contracts, and 1,250 people have been contacted and sent to job offers (498 men and 752 women, of which 564 are minors 30 years and 686 over 30).

The response time between receiving the offer and sending the first quota is a maximum of 48 hours, sending an average of 5 candidates for each position offered.

Collaboration Agreements

In order to improve training and professional qualification, boost economic development and promote employment and entrepreneurship, the Department of Employment and Economic Promotion signs agreements with different social and economic agents in the municipality.

Thus, during 2019, 19 collaboration agreements have been signed with third sector entities and business organizations, with a global economic contribution of 148,351 euros.

In addition, 304,500 euros have been allocated to promote the temporary and permanent hiring of workers, through grants aimed at SMEs, micro-SMEs, cooperatives, non-profit organizations and insertion and social economy companies.

Training projects

As for training projects, in 2019 40 professional training courses for employment have been given, with a total of 29,770 teaching hours of 20 different specialties, belonging to 13 professional families.

Training for employment has been provided to 560 people, 256 men and 304 women, of which 321 were under 30 and 239 over 30. Of these, 283 people have obtained full professional certificates and 57 have obtained partial accreditations .

Thanks to these courses, 80 contracts have been made for the training of which 35 have been women and 45 men, including 40 under 30 and 40 over 30.

In addition, 192 people have been hired after the training received, 95 men and 97 women, of which 124 are under 30 and 68 are over 30, representing a labor insertion rate of 34.29%, ranging from 43.8% of Professional Qualification of Young People and more than 75% in the Mixed Programs of Employment and Training.

Virtual Employment Center

From the Virtual Employment Center, 19 courses have been offered with a total of 985 hours of online training.

345 people participated, of which 130 are men and 215 women.

Of the total students, 120 are unemployed people and 225 active workers.

The training actions have been related to the professional families of Hospitality, Business Services, Education and Training, Sports Activities, Health Care and Energy Efficiency and Environment, as well as cross-training related to soft skills or soft skills.

Murcia Employ Fair

As for the first edition of the Murcia Emploa Fair, which was held last October 10 at the Artillery Barracks, it gathered more than 500 people in search of employment and entrepreneurs, who were able to receive guidance, establish direct contacts with companies, entities and institutions and know the services offered from the City Council.

Within the framework of this municipal employment and entrepreneurship fair, which commemorated the 30th Anniversary of the Employment Service, different activities took place such as presentations and round tables, workshops, appointments for employment, as well as the photographic exhibition "Thirty Years of Employment in the municipality of Murcia. History of the Workshop Schools "and an awards ceremony.

Fifty information stands were installed, with 18 business entities and organizations, 25 companies and 8 associations and foundations, and 1,351 CVs were received.

A total of 505 people participated in the workshops, presentations and round tables of the Fair.

14 companies participated in the appointments for employment, 409 people registered, and interviews were conducted for 96 jobs.

For the mayor Pedro García Rex, "this fair has allowed us to reflect on the challenges posed by future jobs and how active employment policies must contemplate these changes and evolve towards more dynamic models, promoting networking and participation of all the agents that intervene locally in the territory (public administrations, private companies, and third sector organizations).

Among the objectives of the Employment service are:

Improve the qualification of unemployed people in the municipality, through their participation in different training activities.

Offer a broad and structured training offer, by levels and in different professional areas.

Promote comprehensive and quality training, with special emphasis on the personal and professional development of the participants.

Inform about various opportunities for access to employment.

Advise on various offers of professional and employment training, developing individual itineraries of insertion and reintegration.

Offer training, advice and support for the search for self-employment and others.

Offer qualified worker companies.

Encourage the creation of new companies in emerging sectors.

Facilitate a first non-work experience through the signing of a non-work professional practices agreement.

Participate with associations, entities and companies of Murcia in all those actions that are aimed at promoting employment.
