Next Thursday, December 12, the Spanish Red Cross celebrates the Banderita Day, in favor of Children and Youth, in the municipality of Murcia.

Specifically in Murcia, more than 150 volunteers from the Humanitarian Institution will participate, distributed in 36 tables distributed throughout the municipality.

In the municipality of Murcia, a team composed of 720 volunteers, with the support of 12,804 people and partner entities, meets the needs of 18,276 people who are in a situation of vulnerability, either because they have economic difficulties to cope with food worthy, or the payment of the supplies in your home, that cannot cope with having access to said home, or a job to be able to get ahead, or they are elderly people who suffer isolation, or immigrants in a situation of helplessness.

Similarly, it highlights the work that the Red Cross Youth volunteer, the Spanish Red Cross youth association, develops in the municipality, directing its important work to 4,460 children and young people, who need support to develop their school career, carrying out activities with the children who are hospitalized in the Vírgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital, or conducting educational talks on Health or Violence Behavior Prevention in the educational centers of the municipality.

Another fundamental aspect of the work of volunteering is the training given to 2,443 people in Murcia, especially in the socio-sanitary field, or the unparalleled work of the Emergency Unit of the Municipality, or the more than 4,000 people involved in awareness campaigns that are developed in the field of Health, Employment, Environment, International Cooperation ... etc.
