This initiative is carried out thanks to the renewal of the collaboration agreement with the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), attached to the Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy

The volunteers of the FADE Foundation (Help, Development and Education Foundation) will continue with the support tasks at the San Basilio Senior Residence thanks to the renewal of the collaboration agreement signed with the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), attached to the Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy of the Autonomous Community, in which 145 volunteers have attended during the past year the 180 residents of the center.

This agreement enables the development of the 'SECOND Program, social volunteering in the San Basilio Senior Citizens' Residence' aimed at the care of the elderly, sick or dependent, users residing in said center, as well as their families and caregivers, with The purpose of offering support tools to help them overcome the vital experience of entering a residence for the elderly in a positive and enriching sense.

Under this agreement, FADE volunteers will continue with the various activities carried out in this center, such as:

Accompaniment to the elderly who reside in San Basilio in activities related to leisure and free time, art, music, culture, cinema, theater, etc., appropriate to their situation.

Accompaniment and management with dependent persons with physical or other limitations for the performance of daily tasks outside the residence.

Accompaniment to older residents in San Basilio in those periods in which their hospitalization is necessary, providing them with emotional, material or physical support during their admission, and the caregivers who are attending them during their hospitalization.

The FADE Foundation develops different volunteer activities in the field of social care in the Region of Murcia, with special attention to the groups of elderly people, people with disabilities, chronic mentally ill people and people with chronic and degenerative diseases.
