The Governing Board has approved the collaboration agreement with the Columbares Association that will allow the development of the 'VOS Project Original Version of the Segura River' initiative
Thus, the City Council grants a subsidy of 10,000 euros to this association thanks to which a documentary will be prepared in which the natural values ​​and environmental services of the river reserves of the Segura basin will be disseminated.
What is intended is to create a Network of River Reserves at the national level that effectively protects those rivers with a high degree of conservation, in addition to valuing the rich existing river heritage which translates into the execution of conservation activities and Improvement of the status of reserves and their value enhancement activities.
In this way, this initiative promises an unpublished digital guide on the natural resources of the Segura River reserves that will be added to other awareness and training activities.
The City of Murcia, in line with the competencies exposed and in line with the environmental sustainability policies that it applies, considers it very important to carry out activities that help raise awareness, educate and give maximum dissemination about natural values ​​and environmental services of the River Nature Reserves declared in the Segura River basin, in Murcia.
