and the cleaning of buildings and municipal buildings, respectively
The Special Commission of Surveillance of the Hiring that presides over the Councilor of Development, Mario Gómez, has started today to form his first session placing the magnifying glass in the contract of the municipal service of Road Cleaning, Collection and Treatment of Residues.
During this first meeting, the members of the commission, formed by members of the five political groups with representation in the Consistory, have decided to supervise the conservation and maintenance contract for parks and gardens in second and third order;
and the cleaning of buildings and municipal buildings, respectively.
"Although in principle, the commission will have a monthly periodicity, it will be the development of the work that conditions the times", informed the mayor Mario Gómez, who has provided all members with the documentation of the contract for the Road Cleaning, Collection and Waste treatment so that all political formations have the necessary information to start reviewing the conditions of the contract and raise the considerations and proposals they deem necessary.
List of personnel and machinery inventory
In the commission, minutes have been drawn up with the contributions and requests that will be requested from the municipal road cleaning, waste collection and treatment service, including the list of personnel working in the company, the one proposed in the specifications, to verify that the service has the necessary human resources to guarantee its correct operation;
as well as an inventory of all the machinery of the company with the objective of reviewing its status and verifying that they comply with the provisions of the specifications.
In the same way, and to guarantee the amortization established in the specifications for the trucks destined for the garbage collection, the concessionaire will be asked not to make new acquisitions until the existing machinery is reviewed and there is a definitive report of the Special Commission on Hiring Surveillance.
Tons of waste
Likewise, information about the tons of urban solid waste generated by the municipality will be requested, indicating its typology;
as well as the number of tons received at the Cañada Hermosa plant from other municipalities.
The proposal made by the company for the acquisition of land and made available to the City Council will also be requested.
Guarantee the quality of public services
"The main objective of this commission," recalled the Councilor for Development, "is the control and control of City Council contracts to ratify that they are executed in accordance with what the law dictates and verify compliance with the conditions of the awarded bid to guarantee the effectiveness and quality of the service by the different concessionaires ".
In this line, he stressed that "it is very important to carry out a joint work that allows us to move forward in this line, achieve the objectives set and be able to improve the quality of public services provided to Murcia."
