This morning they have joined the Social Council of the University of Murcia, as new members, Gabriel Lozano Reina and José Antonio García Fernández, representing the students and the CROEM respectively.
The members of said university body were present at the inauguration, including its president Juan Antonio Campillo Paredes and the Rector of the José Luján Alcaraz University.
The Social Council is the body that guarantees the participation of Murcian society in the management and supervision of the UMU, and is composed of 21 members.
The president of the Social Council has affirmed that the new members "will undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of the objectives that this Social Council has set and that focus primarily on improving the employability of graduates and the transfer of knowledge to the productive system. "
"For this he added - it is essential that the plenary session of the Social Council be configured as the permanent communication channel between the university and the society of the Region of Murcia."
Campillo, who had words of thanks to the work of the predecessors of the new members, said that the new members, framed in two priority groups, will be key to achieving the objectives of the Social Council, and ended by saying: "I ask you not to spare efforts to transmit everything that you understand that society is claiming from its university. "
