The Department of Commerce, Markets and Public Roads led by Juan Fernando Hernández is studying the creation and subsequent implementation of the Local Consumer Council.
A proposal that the responsible councilor has transferred to the president of Consumur, Roberto Barceló during the meeting they held yesterday afternoon, and that both consider necessary for Murcia.
The head of Commerce has explained that it is an advisory body in which, in addition to the administration, the social agents involved in consumption and consumer defense must be represented.
In this sense, the mayor Juan Fernando Hernández has added that "the future Local Council would also function as an advisory body issuing reports that would help solve the important challenges we face in terms of consumption."
Some challenges that the president of Consumur transferred to the Councilor for Commerce, on the 45 proposals of the association of consumers and users related to consumption at the regional and municipal level, and which are distributed in large areas: consumption, citizen participation, public services , urban planning and housing and mobility.
During this meeting, the president of Consumur also delivered the "Pact for the Declaration of the State of Climate Emergency" signed by the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia with the association of consumers and users.
Finally, the councilor Juan Fernando Hernández has conveyed to the president of Consumur his congratulations on the recent entry, at the proposal of the head of Commerce, of this association in the Social Council of Murcia, a citizen participation body of an advisory nature composed of economic organizations , social, professional and neighbors.
