We are trade unionists warn that "the agreement reached does not solve the limit situation experienced by the Local Police of Murcia" (29/11/2019)

From the executive commission of the trade union section of SOMOS SINDICALISTAS in the City of Murcia, we see with concern the agreement reached with other trade union sections in relation to the working conditions of our Local Police, which does not respect, made already denounced judicially, fundamental rights collected in the Organic Law of Freedom of Association.

The staging of a pantomime with previous meetings only for guests, has concluded with an agreement with its back to the staff, since according to the digital survey that we handle 49% this agreement is not in favor, being 42% who is in favor and 9% are in favor of making a physical vote, and more taking into account that a proposal that improved the approved was rejected by the collective.

This agreement reflects only purely remunerative aspects, forgetting the organizational ones, so it leaves out of the solution basic aspects that every good manager must address when it comes to organizing a service as depleted as our Local Police are today, for what stops addressing important aspects that will affect the service provided as the worker, such important issues as occupational health ... that is already causing police, who fall ill, not respecting the indications that from the Occupational Health and Prevention Service they send to the Police officers, issues of Workplace Harassment, issues such as respect for the reconciliation of work and family life, and the evaluation of Risks from the operational point of view (Required by the Labor Inspectorate).

They have not been able to put on the table the essential services that they must provide to the public or the agents necessary to carry them out, nor the definition in the List of Jobs, of the places in each specialty, "bracelets apart", nor has the essential merits contest for transfers between sections been established, nor the protocols of action so common even in Police with much less effective.

As for the provision of media, it is striking that opposition groups have to urge the government team through motions to fix the vehicles of the Local Police.

That they have to transfer detainees without a separation screen, that the bulletproof vest is not taken into account in the size of the garments that should go over it, and thus a long list of unresolved deficiencies and unmet needs.

This agreement, which aims to stretch without a measure or control a template already to the limit, will not result in the improvement of the response times to the citizen, nor will it resolve the discomfort in a collective that feels cheated by its representatives, pressured by its bosses and forgotten by The current municipal government team.
