An effective control mechanism
Likewise, the spokesman of Cs intends that in said meeting “a mechanism of clear and effective control over minor contracts in all municipal departments and services to prevent fraudulent use be established, reduce them to the exceptionalities established in the Contract Law of the Public Sector and put an end to the legal insecurity in which all the councilors are currently located â€.
"We must avoid at all costs," he stressed, "that it is possible to incur a possible fraud of law and that the hiring of the City of Murcia remains in question, especially given the recent publications appeared in the media in relation to to the Pedanías case, in which alleged finger contracts and crimes of prevarication, influence peddling and embezzlement by the former PP councilor, Cristóbal Herrero, are investigated. â€
For the mayor Mario Gómez, “it is a very serious and worrisome issue that requires an urgent meeting and the commitment of all councilors.
We must not continue another day allowing our Administration to continue using the minor contract as an ordinary procedure when it should be exceptional in our City Council.
