This year 2019 will be remembered as the year in which the barrier of the thousand murdered by sexist terrorism in Spain has been overcome since 2003. But we remember today, beyond the official count, all those who were killed by men who were not even their couples or former partners, simply because they are women.
From the United Left, in addition, we will not reduce visibility to any of the violence that women suffer: whether institutional, sexual, economic or the reification and commodification of our bodies.
In this last year the patriarchal offensive of the extreme right has intensified, legitimizing the violence against women and denying the origin of the inequalities that we must combat.
The formation of the extreme right was responsible for boycotting the unanimous sentence in the Regional Assembly a few days ago and today comes to vomit to the institution that should be of all Murcia and all Murcia, his infamous speech plagued with falsehoods and lies.
The denialism of the extreme right and the growing hatred towards feminism, has new alliances between the rights of the PP and C´s and the ultra-right of VOX.
These parties demonstrate a very serious irresponsibility and an undemocratic mood with their political initiatives against women, the LGTBI collective and migrants.
Given this, from the United Left we say loud and clear that WITH THE MACHISM NEITHER IS NEGOTIATED OR PACTED.
Our feminist demands disarticulate their structures of economic and social power. Our feminism is subversive, anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-racist and anti-LGBTI-phobic.
They want us alone and with fear but they will have us together and strong.
We will continue advancing from solidarity and diversity, from the streets, institutions and culture.
We will continue to sew alliances, towards a society of mutual respect, freedom and justice for all.
