José Ballesta has inaugurated this afternoon the first Bricomart warehouse in Murcia, of 8,146 square meters, which will open its doors to the public tomorrow, at 7 am.
The establishment has a team of about one hundred professionals, of which 90% are Murcia.
For the construction of the warehouse, Bricomart has had the collaboration of local and regional companies, contributing to the development of the Murcian business fabric.
The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, opened this afternoon the first Bricomart warehouse in Murcia, 8,146 square meters, which has a team of almost a hundred professionals and is located on San Ginés Avenue, next to the West industrial estate.
"Tomorrow will open its doors to the public the first Bricomart store in Murcia, whose team is made up of about a hundred professionals, of which 90% are Murcia," said the mayor of Murcia, who added that "it is of a new warehouse that will bet on local and regional suppliers, contributing to the development of the Murcian business fabric and generating economic activity and dynamism in our municipality â€.
Bricomart, a company specialized in the distribution of construction and renovation materials, was born in 2005 to respond to the growing number of professionals in this sector, creating a large specialized distribution area.
Currently, the brand has a workforce of more than 3,500 employees in Spain, of which 85% have indefinite contracts.
The new warehouse, which is the twenty-fifth open in Spain and the first in the Region of Murcia, will open from Monday to Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and opening Sundays and opening holidays, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The event was attended by the general director of Bricomart Spain, Antonio Bullido, the Director of Development, Juan Manuel Herreras, the head of expansion of the Region, Daniel López, and the director of the Murcia warehouse, Antonio García.
The warehouse will open its doors to the public tomorrow, at 7:00 a.m.
Collaboration with local and regional companies
For the construction of its warehouse in Murcia, Bricomart has had the collaboration of local and regional companies.
Likewise, in its commitment to contribute to local and regional development, it has outsourced all the direct and indirect services necessary for the development of its activity to local and regional companies, such as maintenance and transportation.
The warehouse, whose staff hosts very diverse profiles, with passionate professionals in construction and reform, and with experience in sales and knowledge of the sector, offers a catalog of more than 20,000 products.
The investment made for the opening of this warehouse, which has 243 parking spaces adapted for large-volume vehicles or with a trailer, is 12.3 million euros.
The articles are organized into nine sections, which are construction materials, wood, electricity, plumbing, sanitary, ceramics, paint, tools and hardware.
Through its ranges developed with local suppliers, the warehouse will reinforce and increase Murcia's business fabric.
Bricomart, which has an expansion and growth project that will continue to materialize in 2020, is present in France, Poland and Italy.
In Spain, warehouses are spread across 18 provinces.
In addition to offering continuous training to its employees, Bricomart has Participation Policies that allow the company to share the progress and benefits of the company.
Similarly, they have the opportunity to become shareholders, becoming directly involved in the development of the company.
Currently, 76% of the employees in these stores are shareholders of ADEO, the business group to which Leroy Merlin and Bricomart belong.
