The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, has attended this morning the presentation of the cultural vinyl 'Character of the Year', promoted by the Association of merchants of Santa Eulalia and sponsored by the City Council.

Thanks to this initiative, more than 30 merchants from the neighborhood belonging to the association will show in their shop windows aphorisms of Dionisia García, poet who has been chosen 'Character of the year'

Councilor Jesús Pacheco has indicated that "this action combines culture and the promotion of reading with the support of small businesses in our neighborhoods. In this way we continue working on the Urban DNA project of Santa Eulalia."

The Santa Eulalia Merchants Association was created in May 2017 thanks to the Municipal Urban DNA project for the revitalization of the neighborhood.

This entity, whose president is Antonio García-Melgares, has more than thirty merchants in the neighborhood and works not only to revitalize local commerce, but also to improve the urban environment and promote cultural and social activities.

Santa Eulalia is a cosmopolitan neighborhood that brings together a wide variety of sensitivities and in which, from ADN Urbano, it has worked together with its neighbors combining creativity and innovation and intermingling it with its historical tradition to make Santa Eulalia a cultural and social reference in Murcia.
