The UMU teaches a course to learn how to communicate in the media (22/11/2019)

On Saturday, November 23, the course 'Communication before the media' begins, taught by the professor at the University of Murcia (UMU) María Teresa Pellicer Jordá.

The day, which will take place at the Royal Academy of Medicine of the Region of Murcia, is divided into two sessions that aim to raise awareness of the importance of verbal and nonverbal communication "so that participants learn techniques to express themselves in public before the media, "explains Pellicer Jordá.

Also, the training seeks to provide tools to moderate meetings within the health field.

The next session will be on Friday 29 in the Aured building of the UMU School of Communication and Documentation, where participants will be taught to make televised and radio statements.

This course is part of the Asisa Foundation of Health Communication of the University of Murcia, directed by Professor María Trinidad Herrero Ezquerro and created through an agreement between the UMU and the Asisa Foundation, "with the aim of creating a research space , training and dissemination in communication within the Health Sciences, "says the director.

María Teresa Pellicer has a PhD in Communication Sciences, a degree in Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations from the UMU, where she is a professor hired as a doctor in the School of Communication and Documentation.

In addition, she coordinates the audiovisual media and is director of the television and radio of the UMU, member of the Audiovisual Commission of the CRUE and of the Association of Audiovisual Professionals of the Spanish Universities.
