The City Council trains the presidents of the Municipal Boards in electronic administration (21/11/2019)

The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, presents the training course on document management in digital format.

The course has started this week at the Local Development Agency and will last until December 11 for two days a week.

"Thanks to this tool we respond to the needs of digital transformation of our City Council in improving internal efficiency and with a positive influence on the services provided to citizens," explains the councilor.

The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, presented today at the Local Development Agency the course 'Electronic Administration for Municipal Boards' addressed to the presidents of the same.

“The technology has been installed vertiginously in all areas of municipal management.

Thus, electronic administration plays a fundamental role in communicating both externally and internally, which is a key element in the processes of dissemination of information and provision of services, â€notes José Guillén.

In this way, within the Smart City project, training has been organized for the new governments of districts and districts in order to eliminate the role of the administration and that all procedures can be carried out electronically.

The course started yesterday and will last until December 11 for two days a week.

Specifically, each president will receive a two session training.

The workshop consists of several thematic blocks, among which are the electronic headquarters and the Gexflow application, a tool used by the municipal administration for the daily management of the digital procedure.

The current regulations establish the obligation for Public Administrations to relate to each other by electronic means, a provision that is developed in the title referring to the inter-administrative cooperation of Law 40/2015 of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector.

“In this sense, it is necessary to create systems and applications that facilitate the chairmen of the boards to exercise their functions, as well as that they can develop their electronic document management policy for the benefit of effectiveness and efficiency,†explains José Guillén.

Gexflow is the application used by personnel assigned to the City of Murcia for electronic document management and whose main objectives are to improve processes and organizational and technological control, in the creation, management and archiving of electronic documents.

"Thanks to this tool we respond to the needs of digital transformation of our City Council in improving internal efficiency and with a positive influence on the services provided to citizens," explains the councilor.
