Pérez: "The mobility project of the City Council will shape the municipality and involve its radical transformation" (19/11/2019)

The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, has assured that “the City Council continues with its mobility project within the established deadlines and this Government Team will be responsible for the transformation of transport in the municipality of Murcia.

It's something that bothers the PSOE but they won't stop us. â€

Pérez explained that “the Autonomous Community will prolong the provision of the service of the buses of districts while preparing the drafting of its master plan but the City Council continues with its mobility project within the appropriate deadlines that are those that mark the assistance project technique â€.

As indicated by the councilor, “the technical assistance contract for the new transport model to be implemented in the municipality will be awarded shortly and the work will continue for 6 months.

Then we will have defined the transport model that will be implemented in Murcia, that will vertebra the municipality and that will involve the radical transformation of the municipality â€.

Pérez has announced that "soon there will be very important news in the area of mobility thanks to the development of decisive and very beneficial projects for our city."

“In the PSOE they criticize 5 lines of competencies of the community without devoting a minute to the development of all the collective transport of the municipality, they dedicate 5 minutes a month to mobility, which is the time to write a press release to criticize the government model â€, Said the mayor.

Besides that the level of ignorance of the PSOE is very high, they offer neither proposals nor ideas, they do not know how to develop projects.

Stop the criticism policy once and begin to develop the labor policy.

That their efforts in thinking and thus can contribute to this new transport model that will be essential for the future of the municipality, â€Pérez criticized.

The councilor has insisted that "our intention is that this new system be designed with the greatest consensus and with the broadest participation of neighborhood political groups and groups."

Pérez explained that “we will assume ownership of all the lines that circulate in the municipality, both in the urban area and in districts, and we will unify the transport system.

This will contribute to an improvement of the service, greater coordination between the lines and a better tariff policy, thus achieving a much more efficient system than the current one â€.

"The objective is that the public transport system in Murcia, formed by the tram and bus lines, work in a coordinated manner and meet the mobility needs of Murcia, in addition to ensuring economic and environmental efficiency"

The councilor has concluded by saying that "we have underway the greatest transformation of the city and Murcia will notice it in a few months. We contemplate mobility as an essential axis of the project: it is designed, it has financing, the deadlines are being met and Murcia They will notice in a few weeks. â€
