The exhibition 'Older people also paint' shows the 31 works carried out by the partners of the social centers (13/11/2019)

The Councilor for the Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Pérez, opened this morning the exhibition 'The elderly also paint', which this year marks its ninth edition.

In the exhibition, which can be visited in the exhibition hall of the San Antón Social Center, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., you can see the 31 works that the students of the painting workshops have done of about twenty Senior Centers in the municipality.

The exhibition will remain open until November 27, date in which the awards will be given to the six winners of the contest that will be decided by a jury composed of Murcian painters.

There will also be two accésits and a diploma will be given to all participants.

The mayor Paqui Pérez has been accompanied during the inauguration of the exhibition by the president of the Federation of Social Centers of the Municipality, Simón Párraga.

Both have congratulated the authors of the works for their excellent work and encouraged them to continue learning and developing their creativity in the various painting workshops.

Likewise, the Councilor for the Elderly has thanked "the effort and dedication of the organizers of this event so that these activities move forward, promoting culture and the enrichment of interpersonal relationships.
