Algezares, Puente Tocinos, Aljucer and Los Martínez del Puerto improve their gardens and playgrounds (11/11/2019)

These four districts will have new spaces for leisure and neighborhood recreation for the beginning of the year.

The actions focus on the remodeling of public spaces, with the renovation of pavement and street furniture, as well as the renovation of recreational areas for children.

"Murcia has been betting for four years in a very special way for its parks and gardens, for the environment and for family and healthy spaces," said the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén.

The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization, directed by José Guillén, will carry out various improvement works in green areas and children's leisure in the districts of Algezares, Puente Tocinos, Aljucer and Los Martínez del Puerto , some works that were approved last Friday at the Government Board.

“Murcia has been betting for four years in a very special way for its parks and gardens, for the environment and for family and healthy spaces.

Proof of this are the more than 60,000 square meters of Murcia Río and the more than 50,000 works carried out in parks and gardens and green areas of the municipality â€, highlights the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén.

In this way, Algezares will remodel the children's play areas located on Pepe Serna street with Paseo Monasterio de la Luz.

The village will thus have recreational spaces for children of all ages, promoting integration with people with reduced mobility and all with the required security measures.

Puente Tocinos will improve the Juan Molina Oliver square with the renovation of its pavement and urban furniture.

Thus, the elements that are damaged will be changed and those in good condition will be reinstalled.

The actions that will be carried out in both Algezares and Puente Tocinos belong to Lot 8 of the 'Project for remodeling children's areas and coverings in districts through 10 lots' of the City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration , directed by José Guillén.

The work of both districts will be carried out by the Equidesa Group company with the amount of 71,015 euros (VAT included) and within two months.

Aljucer will also remodel its public spaces.

Specifically, the pavement and urban furniture of the playground located on the Doctor José Gil Ortiz Promenade will be renewed, as well as its game elements.

These works will be developed by the company Juan Gregorio Constructions with a budget of 54,816 euros (VAT included) and within two months.

The performances of Los Martínez del Puerto consist of the improvement of the flooring of its children's area and garden area, as well as the renovation of game elements.

The existing rubber floor will be renewed after leveling the floor with mortar to ensure the drainage and drainage of rainwater.

In addition, the new tree runs will be formed to house new plantations.

The Constu Archena company will be responsible for carrying out the works with a budget of 44,830 euros (VAT included) and will be executed within two months.

The actions of Aljucer and Los Martínez del Puerto are part of the 'Plan of Pedanías, Diputaciones and Peripheral and / or Depressed Neighborhoods 2018-2019' of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

“Recreation areas constitute a collective heritage of great social and cultural value.

Its adaptation also helps to improve the lives of neighbors, thus constituting a pleasant place of encounter, leisure and enjoyment, â€concludes the mayor.

15 districts will renew their green spaces

The actions in these four districts are added to the works that were also approved by the Government Board two weeks ago for the renovation of the green spaces and gambling in eleven locations.

These are: Baños y Mendijo, La Ñora, Sangonera la Verde, LLano de Brujas, Zeneta, Cabezo de Torres, Rincon de Seca, San Pío X, San José de la Vega, El Palmar and Corvera, all of them belonging to the 'Project of remodeling of children's areas and coverings in districts through 10 lots.
