The municipal technicians have started today the first sectorial table of the diagnosis for the development of the Local Strategy of Circular Economy of the city of Murcia.
The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, has opened this meeting in which, through innovative and participatory dynamics, three objectives have been addressed: the first has been to identify the actions that are being developed in the municipality on circular economy, the second has been to look for new opportunities and the last to detect problems and barriers to the development of this strategy.
“We have started this morning the participation process with the collection of opinion of the municipal technicians with competences in the affected areas.
With the elaboration of this strategy we work to make Murcia a more sustainable city, a city more prepared for the future â€, highlights the mayor.
All this based on various thematic axes, such as consumption, waste management, water management, sustainability of urban spaces, mobility and mainstreaming policies.
After the celebration of this table, the next one will be focused on business with the presence of those companies with the greatest potential to apply technologies, solutions and principles of Circular Economy.
It will be followed by a third panel of experts with the participation of technology centers, universities, associations and professional associations.
