The City Council develops pruning and clearing in the stretch of the bike path from El Raal to Llano de Brujas (04/11/2019)

The actions consist in the elimination of weeds and low branches that prevent the good use of the space, as well as pruning work.

Specialized personnel are responsible for the maintenance of the more than 26 kilometers that comprise the route from El Raal and Contraparada.

"It is a place surrounded by nature that we have to keep and take care of so that it is in perfect condition for all cyclists and pedestrians who use it frequently, thus guaranteeing the safety of citizens," said Councilman José Guillén.

The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, directed by José Guillén, periodically performs improvement actions on the different bike lanes of the municipality.

These days, in response to a neighborhood request, specific work is being carried out on the section between El Raal and Llano de Brujas.

Specifically, these tasks consist in clearing weeds, tree pruning, 'refaldeo' and elimination of the low branches of the woodland.

The Parks and Gardens service, through the STV / Actúa concessionaire, is responsible for this maintenance of the 26 kilometers between El Raal and Contraparada.

"It is a place surrounded by nature that we have to keep and take care of so that it is in perfect condition for all cyclists and pedestrians who use it frequently, thus guaranteeing the safety of citizens," said Councilman José Guillén.

These actions are developed by a team of people who work with all types of specialized machinery, which allows the bike lane to be solved and checked section by section.

“The City Council continues thus betting on the use of the bike lane sections, as well as the promotion of healthy habits such as walking and cycling,†concludes the mayor.
