The Civil Guard detains two dangerous criminals in Beniaján for assaulting four minors at the point of a knife (04/11/2019)

The assaults occurred at meeting points for young people located in the towns of TorreagĂźera and San José de la Vega

One of those arrested has been placed in pretrial detention and the second, a minor, in a Juvenile Center

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation to identify, locate and detain the perpetrators of two robberies with white weapons to several minors committed in the towns of TorreagĂźera and San José de la Vega, which has resulted in the arrest of two dangerous criminals as alleged perpetrators of robbery with violence and intimidation.

In addition, two mobile phones owned by the victims have been recovered.

The investigation began on October 20, when two minors denounced before the Civil Guard that when they were in the Ramblón de TorreagĂźera, the usual meeting point for the youth of the municipality, they were assaulted by two individuals at the point of a knife .

The young age of the victims, under 14, had generated social alarm among the neighbors.

The subjects used a large knife to intimidate and subtract their mobile phones and, before fleeing the place, threatened to hurt them without telling what happened.

Days later, the Civil Guard learned of another criminal act of the same nature committed in the town of San José de la Vega.

In this case, the events occurred when two minors were in public banks and were approached by two individuals, with their heads covered by the hood of their sweatshirts.

While one held by the neck of the shirt and supported a large knife in the abdomen of one of the victims, the other snatched his fanny pack.

They watched areas frequented by minors to choose their victims

Agents for the prevention of citizen security initiated a series of surveillance and evidence-gathering devices that led them to know that both events coincided both in the time slot in which they were committed, and in the places selected to assault children under age, as well as in the modus operandi employed, which made suspect that the perpetrators of both robberies with violence could be the same people.

The numerous investigations carried out below were positive with the identification of a young man, based in the town of Beniaján, who, despite his minority, had a broad criminal record.

The numerous vigilances established around this first individual were positive with the identification of another boy, who was usually accompanied and whose physical characteristics also coincided with those of the second suspect.

Once verified its alleged participation in the illegal investigations, the Civil Guard has established an operation that has culminated in the arrest of both as alleged perpetrators of robbery with violence and intimidation with the use of a white weapon.

One of the arrested, of Spanish nationality and minor, was located and detained in the municipality of Beniaján two days after the robberies and, after being made available to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, immediately entered a Center of Children in closed regime.

The second, of Moroccan nationality, was surprised when he left the home where he eventually lived.

In addition, there were two reports of leaks from child centers, one in the town of Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz) and another in the town of Alhama de Murcia (Murcia).

After being brought to justice, he has been placed in pretrial detention.

According to the investigation, the detainees now organized their criminal tasks with a previous selection of meeting places for young people and chose their victims, adolescents under 14 years of age who were approached with violence and intimidated with a large knife to take away valuables that were later distributed.

The investigation, carried out in the towns of TorreagĂźera and San José de la Vega to clarify two robberies with violence and intimidation committed against four minors, has resulted in the arrest of two dangerous criminals, one of them minors and with a Bulky criminal record, as well as with the recovery of two mobile phones that have been returned to their rightful owners.

The arrested and the proceedings have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Murcia and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of Murcia.

One of the detainees has been placed in pretrial detention and the other, a minor, in a Juvenile Center in a closed regime.
