The Environment Service of the Department of Sustainable Development and Huerta, directed by Antonio Navarro, has developed a project that brings together a set of actions to improve the infrastructure and public use spaces of the Forest Park of Los Polvorines located in the hamlet of Monteagudo

This plan will allow to order the leisure area of ​​this park, which currently has cooking facilities (barbecues) and tables and benches.

Thus, in this area there will be a playground for children with an area of ​​175 m2 and another dedicated to a training area for adults of 82 m2, which will have an abdominal bench and climbing circuit.

Finally, an area will be allocated to the entrance of the park dedicated to the parking of vehicles duly signposted, with an area of ​​606 m2 and with capacity for 19 seats.

The design of these areas will be according to the natural environment of this park, using treated wood as the main material, such as for the delimitation of the parking fence or the children's games themselves, made from logs.

The budget for this project amounts to 41,627.78 euros and provides for an execution period of 2 months.

These actions join the woodland plantations that took place last winter in this forest space and that will serve as a whole to improve the conditions of use and enjoyment of this municipal forest space.

Thus, last January, more than 1,200 pine trees and 500 shrubs were planted among lentisks, wild olive trees and blackthorn.

The Municipal Park of the Polvorines is a natural space dedicated to the recreation and recreation of the residents of Monteagudo since it has the necessary infrastructures so that the residents of the village can cook and celebrate meals and has areas of barbecues, benches, tables and drinking water sources.
