Health, safety and cleanliness make up the special device for the holiday of All Saints (31/10/2019)

The City of Murcia, through the Department of Sports and Health, led by Felipe Coello, launches a special device for today and tomorrow on the occasion of the feast of All Saints in which cleaning, safety and security services participate health.

In this way, the Local Police will increase its presence with 110 agents to meet the needs of the many people who come these days to the different cemeteries of the municipality.

The troops will also be in charge of regulating traffic at the accesses to the Our Father Jesus de Espinardo cemetery, as well as the different flower outlets and will control the closing of vehicle doors.

The council has enabled parking both inside the cemetery (north area), and the opening of access by the highway for outdoor parking.

As for cleaning services, the number of containers and the frequency of their collection have been increased in order to facilitate the deposit of waste.

Also, portable toilets have been installed, complementary to the existing ones, both at the entrance and in the north.

Red Cross technicians will ensure the health of citizens before any type of incident or accident that may occur.

From the City Council it is also recommended not to use water in vases of tubs or niches to prevent the proliferation of mosquitoes.

As for transport, Latbus will have a special service between El Rollo (Murcia) and the Nuestra Padre Jesús Cemetery (making the usual stops on line 44) with the following schedules: Departures from Murcia (Floridablanca Street, 57), at 10.15 , 11.45, 13.15, 14.45 and 16.45 hours;

and departures from Espinardo, at 11.00, 12.00, 14.00, 15.45 and 17.45 hours.

For tomorrow, November 1, a service is offered from 8.30 am, between Glorieta de España (Murcia) and the Espinado cemetery (making the usual stops on line 44) with the following schedules: Departure from Murcia at 8.30, 9.00, 9.30, 10.00, 10.30, 11.00, 11.30, 12.00, 12.30, 13.00, 13.30, 14.00, 15.00 and 17.00 hours;

Departures from the Cemetery Our Father Jesus at 9.45, 10.15, 10.40, 11.15, 11.45, 12.15, 12.40, 12.45, 13.15, 13.45, 14.15, 14.45, 15.40, 17.40 hours.

Acts of the day

The cemetery of Our Father Jesus of Espinardo opens its doors tomorrow, November 1, on the occasion of the feast of All Saints.

Hundreds of people come to the churchyard this day to remember their loved ones bringing flowers.

The Miskorus group will offer a music recital at 11.00, and then Bishop José Manuel Planes will officiate the Eucharist in Fuensanta street.

Improvement Works

Our Father Jesus de Espinardo Cemetery, the only municipal management of the 33 existing in Murcia, has a total of 172,592 people burned.

During 2019, the installation has undergone numerous improvements.

Thus, 52 graves have been rehabilitated in zone I, the Muslim Cemetery expansion project has been agreed.

In addition, during this year the sanitation network of the entire environment has been renewed, a septic tank project with a treatment plant has been launched, as well as the rehabilitation of the dissidents zone.

This year it has also been agreed to contract the construction of 352 niches and 80 columbariums in zone 42.
