Language Clubs begin in which 440 young people participate (31/10/2019)

They have already started all the language clubs launched this year by the Youth Service in which 440 young people participate.

The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, has visited the French Language Club that takes place at the headquarters of the Informajoven and in which young members of CEOM participate.

In total there are 22 groups of language clubs that take place in the municipality and where young people can learn English, French and German.

Councilwoman Rebeca Pérez explained that "with this program we intend to develop a series of activities aimed at allowing young people to practice languages ​​as a complement to the academic training they receive. It is a free service that allows young people to practice a foreign language through the conversation"

The objectives of this initiative are the following:

-Promote that different people exchange their language, or other languages ​​they speak, in order to practice those who want to improve.

-Create a space where young people can practice a language in the field of conversation.

-Sensitize about the importance of knowing another language besides your mother tongue.

- Encourage knowing another language, both for reasons of professional and personal mobility and for representing such learning as a means of intercultural development and rapprochement with others.

-Please allow access to learning other languages ​​to young people with limited economic resources.

-Develop and disseminate innovative teaching techniques and good practices for learning a language through non-formal education.

-Offer other tools for learning other languages ​​focusing on leisure activities, leisure and free time.

-Please enable the practice and improvement of a language.

-Complete through the practice of language what has been learned in the Teaching Centers.

-Promote relationships between young people from other countries.

-To bring Europe to young people through the practice of languages.
