The 2019 municipal budgets come into force (31/10/2019)

The municipal Plenary has approved this morning the municipal budgets for 2019, after rejecting the allegations made in the period of public exposure.

With these budgets for the current year, the development of the strategic projects is guaranteed, the new strategic projects are initiated and the commitment to decentralization continues.

Investments increase by 2.4%, close to 39 million euros, while the direct expenditure per capita inhabitant is 15.7%, exceeding 8%, established in the Citizen Participation Regulation.

The City of Murcia fulfills its commitments established in the Murcia High Speed ​​agreement for the underground arrival of the AVE to the municipality and in 2019 Phase 0 and the annuity corresponding to Phase 1 have been financed, for a total of 12,826,000 euros .

As for strategic projects, the 2019 budget project includes the consolidation of different actions of the previous mandate as well as the start of new ones such as Murcia Río II, recovery of the historical heritage, Strengths of King Lobo, Vía Verde to Zeneta , Huerta Phase II recovery plan, mobility ...

Other important investments included in this project include improvements for the West Industrial Estate (700,000 euros), improvement of roads and sidewalks in neighborhoods (one million euros), improvement of roads and sidewalks in districts (1.4 million euros, which joins the direct investment capacity of the Municipal Boards that is above 6 million euros), new gardens (2.3 million euros), expropriation of land (3.1 million euros), new headquarters Civil Protection (466,000 euros), promotion, regeneration and renovation of municipal housing (600,000 euros), libraries and study room (2,150,000 euros), lawn renewal on soccer fields (500,000 euros), school renovation and nursery schools (1.4 million euros).

The total expenditure per inhabitant that this budget contemplates is 948 euros, being that of last year of 936, while the indebtedness per inhabitant is reduced from 360 to 352 euros.
