The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, today presented the Smart City Strategic Plan, which the City Council presents through the MiMurcia project, in the fifth edition of the Iberdrola Digital Summit event, held in Madrid with more than 300 attendees from eight countries and with the presence of leading digitalization companies such as Spotify, Amazon, IBM or L'Oréal.

The electricity company is a technological partner of the Smart City project of the City of Murcia, contributing its knowledge, technology and interconnecting its information systems to those of the city.

"The participation of Iberdrola Distribution in the implementation of this project offers the possibility of contributing decisively in the achievement of the objectives of electric mobility in the Smart City," said José Guillén, within the framework of the round table 'Cities and Sustainable Communities'.

In this way, the councilor has shown the smart city model that is being carried out in Murcia, a strategy based on participation, citizen care, open government, sustainable mobility and urban quality, and aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development goals.

"All this with a direct approach to people, who are the real protagonists of 'smart' or smart development," he said.

All this will be managed in CEUS (Single Monitoring Center), the nerve center of the smart city that will be located in the Abenarabi building in Murcia and will have a control room and crisis room, from which to view the municipality in your set in emergency situations.

During his speech, the councilor highlighted some of the advances of Murcia Smart City, such as the TuMurcia application, which allows citizens to report any type of incident to the City Council, or the Rosi chatbot, a conversational application that will incorporate the latest advances in intelligence artificial.

In addition, it has highlighted a map of incidents online or the development and integration of a Dashboard, which graphically shows the indicators of the evolution of demand and consumption of the city, the multipoint information system that will allow to know all the points of electrical supply of the Municipal buildings and facilities.

"The objective of the City Council is to facilitate the life of Murcia by providing them with a better service and offering them new communication channels based on the latest technological developments," said José Guillén.
