Manuel Abrisqueta closes October at the Rex cinema and gives way to the new November program (26/10/2019)

Next Monday, October 28, Manuel Abrisqueta, director of Yeclano will close the series of projections 'City Hall of Murcia and Cine Rex program' for the month of October.

The director won a third prize in the edition of Creajoven 2000 with his short film "El trunk".

Shortly after, in 2001 he wrote the short film "Imagen Latente" directed by Nuria Muñoz and José Mª Román, awarded in the National Short Film Contest of Tarrasa for best screenplay.

"Latent Image" would also get the prize for the best short film at the Creajoven Contest in Murcia.

After finishing the audiovisual studies, and with the same team he will shoot "Walking Solo" as director.

With which he will win the Creajoven of that year, 2004, and represent Murcia at the Biennial of Young Artists of Naples.

That same year, he began working at Televisión Murciana as editor and producer in informative, informative, direct, sports and social gatherings.

In 2006 he left television to mount with Nuria Muñoz "Nexus. Audiovisual Creativity" to which he will be linked until 2014. In Nexus, he carries out advertising, corporate and documentary works.

He also makes music videos for groups such as M-Cclan and short films.

5º Izquierda, short film directed by Manuel Abrisqueta and produced by Nexus, will be the winner of the Murcine prize of Cartagena in 2012, of the Fantastic Film Festival of Murcia for the best director Murciano and selected in the Brigadoon section of the fantastic film festival of Sitges.

Since 2014 he works as head of audiovisual production at the Center for Digital Content Production of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

The Language Club goes to the cinema

November will be the month in which the 'Language Club goes to the cinema'.

On Saturdays 9 and 30 in a 12-hour morning session, the Rex Cinema will open to screen cinema in VOS (in English and French) for all participants of the Language Clubs of the municipality and for all those people who want to see The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) and Ratatouille in their original language.

On Monday, November 11, the Murcia Filmmakers cycle will focus on the figure of Jesús Martínez who, in addition to his filmography, will show the short film selected for the Goya 2020, Eusebio80.
