The Governing Board today approved the award of remodeling works in gardens and children's spaces in the districts of Baños and Mendigo, La Ñora, Sangonera la Verde, Llano de Brujas, Zeneta, Cabezo de Torres, Rincón de Seca, San Pío X (Murcia), San José de la Vega, El Palmar and Corvera.
These are the works related to lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 of the 'Remodeling project for children's areas and coverings in districts'.
The Governing Board has given the green light today to the improvement and conditioning of several green spaces and gambling in the districts of Baños and Mendigo, La Ñora, Sangonera la Verde, Llano de Brujas, Zeneta, Cabezo de Torres, Rincón de Seca, San Pío X (Murcia), San José de la Vega, El Palmar and Corvera.
These tasks have an execution period of between three and four months, starting today, award date, so the works would be ready by the beginning of 2020.
The works belong to the 'Project for remodeling children's areas and coverings in districts through 10 lots' of the City Council, through the Parks and Gardens Service of the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, directed by José Guillén.
“Murcia has been betting for four years in a very special way for its parks and gardens, for the environment and for family and healthy spaces.
Proof of this are the more than 60,000 square meters of Murcia Río and the more than 50,000 works carried out in parks and gardens and green areas of the municipality â€, highlights the councilor.
Thus, the Governing Board has approved the award of Lot 1 which includes the remodeling of the Los Rosales Garden in Alquerías, which consists of the renovation of its structured children's area on three pavements, rubber, concrete screed with painted games and an area of picnic, and the renovation of the Puente Viejo de Baños y Mendigo Street Garden with the improvement of the paving, renovation of the curbs, extended of terracotta and urban furniture.
These works will cost 77,320.50 euros (VAT included) and will be carried out by the commercial Construcciones Sangonera within a period of 4 months.
Lot 2 contemplates the remodeling of the Ebro River Garden in La Ñora, where a 'work out' space will be created to promote healthy outdoor activities, the relocation of a children's area with security fencing and new games, as well as work of gardening and landscaping around them.
It also includes the improvement of street furniture with new benches and a boundary wall will be modified.
These works will cost 56,384.79 (VAT included) and will be carried out by the Trisacor Infrastructure and Services company within 3 months.
The remodeling of the Camino del Palmeral Garden in Sangonera la Verde, belonging to Lot 3, will also be carried out. The works will consist of the renovation of the pavement, the gardening, the formation of a fenced playground and the installation of a pergola of shade, as well as the placement of new urban furniture.
The Mercantile Forum San Patricio will be responsible for carrying out these actions with a budget of 87,386.66 euros (VAT included) and within a period of four months.
Also, the works related to Lot 4 have been awarded, which include the coverage of children's areas in Llano de Brujas and the remodeling of the stage and play spaces in Zeneta.
These tasks will be carried out by the Equidesa Group company, with a budget of 52,982 euros (VAT included) in a period of 3 months.
Lot 5 includes remodeling and improvement of the children's areas of Professor Hermenegildo Baltasar Jiménez Square in Rincon de Seca and the Yesera Garden in San Pío X (Murcia).
It is intended to provide pergolas with textile covering to the chosen locations, fighting the strong sunning of the summer months and providing the set of architectural design elements that improve the decoration of the squares.
The works also include the complete remodeling of the children's area, including new children's games.
These works will cost 45,934.02 euros (VAT included) will be carried out by the commercial Edifesa Obras y Proyectos within a period of 2 months.
The Board has also given the green light to Lot 6 concerning the remodeling of the children's area and construction of a pipicán in the Garden of the Constitution of Cabezo de Torres.
The Constu Archena company will be responsible for the works with a budget of 49,610 euros (VAT included), which will be executed within three months.
The purpose of this project is the improvement in garden equipment with the renovation of the soil and the replacement of children's games.
Thus, in the canine area the renovation of the space is contemplated, with the conditioning of the pavement, placement of security fence and new elements of canine games.
Lot 7 includes the remodeling of children's areas in the Garden Street El Mirador San José de la Vega.
The children's play areas will be improved, specifically three independent spaces with elements of games by age groups in order to integrate children with reduced mobility and thus help the socialization and development of psychomotor skills.
These works will cost 58,317.52 euros (VAT included) will be carried out by the Pavasal Empresa Constructora within a period of 3 months.
Lot 9 includes the remodeling of the children's area of ​​the Garden of Avenida de La Paz, in Altamira street (El Palmar).
This space will be provided with a pergola with textile covering to combat the strong sunning of the summer months and provide the set of architectural design elements.
The works also include the remodeling of the children's area with new elements.
These works will have a cost of 56,166.51 euros (VAT included), will be carried out by the commercial Construcciones Sangonera in a period of 2 months.
Finally, the Governing Board has also approved today the execution works of Lot 10, which includes the remodeling of the Plaza on Calle Juan Carlos I, Corvera.
The proposal includes replacing the existing source with another design that integrates with the renovation of the space.
Other work will be carried out such as gardening, lighting and placement of street furniture.
These works will cost 57,282.78 euros (VAT included) will be carried out by the Pavasal Empresa Constructora within a period of 2 months.
The Councilor for Urban Development notes that "each and every one of these lots have had an average of 16 bidders."
Of the 10 that are within the project, today a green light has been given to 9 of them for a total award amount of 541,384 euros on a tender budget of 626,227 euros.
"In this way, there was a decrease of more than 13% with an approximate saving of 80,000 euros that will be reinvested in new projects," says José Guillén.
