The University of Murcia hosts a social law congress with a gender perspective (23/10/2019)

The University of Murcia hosts on October 24 and 25 the first congress 'Towards a social right with a gender perspective', which will take place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Labor Sciences of the Espinardo Campus.

The scheduled conferences and round tables will be attended by professionals of recognized prestige from the academic and judiciary fields, who will address central issues of Labor Law and Social Security from a gender perspective in the understanding that achieving real equality and effective between women and men is one of the great challenges of society for the 21st century.

This activity is part of the activities organized to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal number 5 of the United Nations, 'Gender Equality', to which the UMU has dedicated the month of October, and also to gender equality in the work contemplated in the Declaration of the Centenary of the ILO for the Future of Work.

The congress has been jointly organized by the School of Labor Practice of the Faculty of Labor Sciences of the UMU, the College of Social Graduates of Murcia, and the teaching innovation group 'Methodological Innovation and Good Teaching Practices with a Gender perspective' of the UMU.

The opening ceremony will take place this Thursday, October 24, at 4.30 pm and will be attended, among others, by José Luján, rector of the UMU.
