The Councilor for Development, Mario Gómez, has met today with the president of Frecom and that of the Chamber of Contractors, José Hernández and Alfonso Segura, respectively, to convey the progress that is being promoted from the Department of Development and the Bureau of Recruitment to achieve cleanliness and transparency in all tender procedures.

"A new model of clean and transparent operation that guarantees competitive competition and the secrecy of offers," said the head of Promotion and Contracting.

The mayor Mario Gómez has informed the representatives of the contractors that they had been detected in the practical bidding procedures that may violate the Public Sector Contract Law and the Competition Law.

"Although these are minority cases, the necessary corrective measures will be taken to expel these companies from the bidding processes," he said.

In this sense, Mario Gómez has requested the collaboration of the sector so that these types of practices do not obscure the equality of opportunities and free competition that ends up benefiting a few to the detriment of the vast majority of large companies that attend these processes, harming also in the general interest.

"We want to get the best tenders and with them the best offers, without traps or costumes," said the Councilor for Development who, praised the fundamental role that companies have as an engine of employment and wealth.

"Without them, the administration would not be able to meet the needs and demands of Murcia," he said.

Finally, Mario Gómez has emphasized the commitment made by the companies in the sector - after the meeting held last July with more than a hundred contractors and businessmen from the construction and services sector - "to continue working together and move towards transparent, clean and rigorous public award processes.
