Miriam Alegría captures Trapería and Platería streets in the new edition of Miradas (16/10/2019)

Murcia photographer Miriam Alegría opens the new season of the Miradas cycle.

His work, focused on documentary photography, will reflect the historic Trapería and Platería arteries, capturing the essence of the city's most traditional streets, and involving residents and characters in the liveliest area of Murcia in their creative process.

The exhibition, which can be visited for a month, will open on October 23, and access will be free by invitation until capacity is reached.

The invitations are sold out.

Miriam Alegría graduated in graphic design from ESD Murcia and complemented her photography studies at EFTI Madrid.

He has won international awards such as Laus or the Anuaria Pro, and in 2018, a series of three photographs were finalists on the United States Lens Culture platform.

The elegance in the images it captures is the perfect tool to radiograph one of the most traditional sites in the city.

Alegría's photographs are a true reflection of his sensitivity to capture the details and moments that go unnoticed and his ability to turn them into something that catches our attention and inspires us.

From October 23 and for a month, Miriam Alegría's works will show the historic buildings and corners of Trapería y Platería, together with the people who live in the neighborhood.

The Miradas cycle seeks a close encounter that links Murcia photographers with the future of life in the city by creating “Alhambra Momentsâ€, which transcend the everyday to be unique and unrepeatable experiences.

Consecrated and emerging photographers such as Mar Sáez, Pascual & Vincent and Álex Lafuente have been some of the moment collectors, who have already exposed their creative process through Murcia Inspira.

The proposal invites, in the same way as the act of taking the photograph, to make a parenthesis in the timeline, in which to stop and enjoy the moment trying to freeze the neighborhoods and their beauty in images, together with the people who They inhabit.

The creation of a photograph is a process that requires reaching the essence of things, like all artistic and artisanal elaboration.

Miradas will close the cycle in a final exhibition that will collect the images of the previous editions in a unique space of the city.

An event that will bring together Murcia photographers and all their followers.
