EQUO RM applications to the list of More Country-EQUO by Murcia (09/10/2019)

Last Friday it was approved in assembly, by EQUO RM, that a series of people linked to the green party join the electoral list of More Country-EQUO, following the decision adopted by the majority of the EQUO affiliation last 28 September to attend the general elections of November 10 with this party.

In total there are 5 people who join the list.

As n ° 3 appears José Fernández-Rufete, veteran ecologist who has been fighting for the environment for years in the municipality of Lorca.

In the position number 6 is Ana María Suárez, a high school teacher and closely linked to the environmental party in Cartagena.

As substitutes in the list are Joaquín Sánchez, founder of the environmental group ANSE in 1973 and veteran green militant of the region, Beatriz Algarate, member of the Coordination Board of EQUO RM and Juan Antonio Ortega, a specialist in Environmental Pediatrics.

From EQUO RM we think that the concurrence in the electoral list of Más País-EQUO is a way of politically making visible the climatic emergency in which we find ourselves and how well they are knowing how to reflect the different social movements, especially those led by world youth .

EQUO is actively participating in the drafting of the electoral program, providing solutions to achieve a true ecological transition of the economy at the national level, with the generalization of the use of renewable energies, a sustainable model in the different economic sectors and in the forms of mobility , the effective protection of our natural spaces, as well as an immigration policy that safeguards Human Rights, while remedying the serious social problems we suffer, the result of years of pressure on the most vulnerable sectors of society
