Miguel Rivera, new coach of UCAM Murcia (08/10/2019)

Miguel Rivera Mora (1961, Málaga) will take over the first team of the Catholic University of Murcia Soccer Club for the remainder of the season after reaching an agreement between both parties in the last hours.

The Andalusian faces this new challenge after seventeen seasons training in 2nd Division B, fourteen of them in group IV.

It also comes from the subsidiary of Real Valladolid, in which he has played during the last two seasons.

Experience in Group IV of 2nd Division B

The new coach of UCAM Murcia began his career in 2nd Division B with the Cartagonova and later signed for Melilla where he registered seventh place and only added 7 defeats in Group IV of Second B.

In 2004/05, Miguel Rivera stood out in Écija.

There he was for three seasons and played sixteenths of the Copa Rey against Real Madrid in his final year at the head of the Andalusian team bench.

The Malaga player has also trained Águilas, Granada 74, Caravaca and Leganés in 2nd Division B before returning to the Ecija bench in 2011/12.

After his second stage at Écija, Miguel Rivera took over the Almería subsidiary in January 2014. The Almeria played promotion playoffs the following season after being third in Group IV of Second B and without adding any loss at home.

In addition, that same season, coach Miguel Rivera debuted in the First Division.

The Malaga took charge of the first team of Almeria to face Real Madrid in a league game after the dismissal of Francisco Rodríguez.

His last two sports projects were at Linares Deportivo and Valladolid B
