Urban Development will carry out an integral remodeling of the enclosure with new pavement, playgrounds and street furniture.
Other issues discussed at this meeting have been the renovation of the trees in Portichuelo street and the conditioning of the access rounds to the Murcian district. The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, has met with the president of the Municipal Board of Baths and Beggar, Juan Miguel Vera Alcaraz, to discuss some improvement actions in the parks and gardens of the district.
Specifically, an integral remodeling of the Puente Viejo street garden will be carried out with the renovation of the existing pavement in all its rooms, the beadwork, the extension of the soil, new shade awnings, the placement of children's games, fences and furniture urban.
In this way, with this performance, Baños y Mendigo will house a new picnic area and a new fairground with a dance floor for the celebration of the festivities.
Other issues discussed at this meeting have been the improvements in the green areas, such as the replanting of the lawn, the renovation of the trees in the Portichuelo street and the conditioning of the round of access to the Murcian district.
"Our intention is always to improve our green areas, as well as parks and gardens by offering better services and always prioritizing the safety of citizens," said the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration.
The works have an approximate budget of 30,000 euros.
As for the deadlines, it is expected that work will begin by the end of November, so the work will be finished by March.
In total, remodeling works will be carried out in a total of 14 districts: Alquerías, Baños y Mendigo, La Ñora, Sangonera la Verde, Llano de Brujas, Zeneta, Rincon de Seca, San Pío X, Cabezo de Torres, San José de la Vega, Algezares, Puente Bacon, El Palmar and Corvera.
This project is included in the 'Plan of Pedanías, Diputaciones and Peripheral and / or Depressed Neighborhoods 2018-2019' of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
