The Mobility Plan of the City Council will integrate a new concept of the ORA (04/10/2019)

Councilwoman Rebeca Pérez has explained that "we want to promote the use of public transport by establishing zoning that allow cheaper rates at the entrances of the city, and promote universal accessibility and vehicle or emissions with the total or partial exemption of the title of parking. "

This decision is based on the principles of transparency, legality, effectiveness, rigor and consistency to achieve a better service delivery.

The Governing Board has approved the order of management of the ORA through its own municipal means to Urbamusa in order that this service be integrated into the Mobility Plan in which the City Council is working.

Thanks to this action, you can make your own and direct decisions regarding the improvement of the service, the incorporation of new technologies and its flexibility to adapt to the new modes of transport.

In this way, as of October 16, the City Council will directly manage the ORA service, without the user perceiving, at first, any change.

Once this new management is launched, work will be done to incorporate smart parking meters.

Councilwoman Rebeca Pérez has explained that "we want to promote the use of public transport by establishing zoning that allow cheaper rates at the entrances of the city, and promote universal accessibility and vehicle or emissions with the total or partial exemption of the title of parking. "

The staff of technical operators and controllers of the current ORA concessionaire will be subrogated by Urbamusa, so that the legal labor security of workers is guaranteed.

For all these reasons, this new project has been designed that facilitates a flexible dynamism for the City Council, avoiding the legal rigidity implied by an administrative concession in this specific case in which a new Mobility Plan is being implemented.

This process has been carried out with complete transparency to ensure that the company's transition has legal and administrative support, providing workers with safety and operational efficiency.

The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, has indicated that "this decision is based on the principles of transparency, legality, effectiveness, rigor and consistency to achieve a better performance in the service of the ORA within the new Mobility Plan" .
