Through its Sports School, it will analyze and make proposals, together with institutions from thirteen European countries, on how to improve in this area through marketing, administration, physical activity inside and outside the school, the adaptation of sport for people with disability or as a refugee inclusion tool.
The Catholic University of Murcia, through its Faculty of Sport, has been selected during the last ERASMUS + sport 2019 call to participate in five sports-related projects, along with other universities and institutions in Turkey, Italy, Denmark, Bulgaria, Germany, Croatia, Sweden, Lithuania, Austria, Greece, Cyprus, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
All Erasmus + projects are co-financed by the European Commission.
The Murcia Region office in Brussels has congratulated UCAM for the projects achieved.
In addition, UCAM leads one of the projects, 'Sailing for Diseable People', in which they will study the use of candle simulation in people with spinal cord injury.
The other projects in which he participates are on innovation in marketing strategy in women's teams, development of skills in sports administration, gamification - learning technique that moves the mechanics of games to the educational-professional field in order to achieve better results - in physical activity inside and outside the school, and social inclusion of refugees through sport.
The Catholic University of Murcia is working on 17 sports projects, 10 of them belonging to Erasmus + sport programs of previous calls, to which the new five are now added, plus two projects of the Erasmus + Ka2 call.
Among those led by the University is the 'European Sport Leadership Program' (ESLP) to improve the employability of university athletes in Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey;
or the study on active aging LifeAge.
