Aguas de Murcia pays posthumous tribute to José Albaladejo (30/09/2019)

A plaque 'In memoriam' reminds the manager of the municipal company, who died on September 11.

During the Board of Directors, he realized the impact on infrastructure, incidents and damage caused by heavy rains, whose economic evaluation amounts to 1,187,600 euros.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, presided today the posthumous tribute to José Albaladejo that took place today in the headquarters of Aguas de Murcia, by discovering a plaque 'In memoriam' of which he was manager of the municipal company during the last 11 years and that passed away on September 11.

José Ballesta said that “Pepe Albaladejo was a good man, who conveyed serenity, restraint and joy;

a fantastic manager who knew how to successfully carry one of the most important companies we have in Murcia and to which it was delivered completely â€.

The mayor thanked in the name of the municipality of Murcia the work carried out and had some words of affection for the relatives of the honoree, "who will always live in the memory of all those who met him."

Married and parents of two children, José Albaladejo studied Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnic of Valencia and, after debuting in Dragados, joined the staff of Aguas de Murcia.

His relationship with the municipal company dates back to 1992, where he first held the position of debugging technician, until he finished leading it in 2008.

He also directed the Territorial Directorate of Hidrogea, as well as led management in Cartagena and Aguas de Lorca.

His talent and energy will remain alive in the spirit of all the workers of Aguas de Murcia.

More than one million euros in damage to the supply network

After the posthumous tribute, the General Meeting of Shareholders and the Board of Directors of Aguas de Murcia were held, in which the new members took possession and realized the emergency device developed on the occasion of heavy rains and the impact on infrastructures, incidents and damages, whose economic evaluation amounts to 1,187,600 euros.

Specifically, there was a rupture of the impulse of the Roldán intake that supplies the Mossa Trajectum deposit and supplies the Campo de Murcia.

The supply configuration was changed from Murcia through the Port of the Chain, so as not to stop supplying.

Among the actions that have already been carried out, the repair of leaks in the supply network of La Alberca, Los Ramos and Espinardo stand out.

Given the problem of turbidity detected in Lobosillo on the 13th, due to the affectation of the supply of the Commonwealth of Channels of the Taibilla to the village, the immediate cleaning and disinfection was carried out, recovering the potability on the 18th.

In La Contraparada the disassembly and commissioning of the equipment damaged by the rains, replacement of slopes, the perimeter fence, as well as the cleaning and removal of sludge will be carried out.

Repair of the transport pipe sections discovered by surface runoff in Sucina, Gea and Truyols, Avileses, Los Martínez del Puerto, Cabezo de la Plata is also being carried out.

Likewise, the repair of the Sangonera la Seca conduction on the Rambla de Javalí Nuevo and the Cabezo de la Plata drive, which supplies the Cañada de San Pedro deposit, will be undertaken.

Punctual repairs are planned in the network of El Raal and Alquerías, as well as in the distribution networks in Los Ramos, La Alberca and Espinardo, among other actions.
