We can-Equo votes no to the budgets of 2019 (26/09/2019)

The spokesman, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, has argued the negative vote ensuring that we are facing “a budget that is drawn up without participation, that is processed without transparency, and that is expected to be approved, predictably, just weeks before it ceases to be in force "

"These budgets are not going to be able to be executed."

The spokesman for the municipal group Podemos-Equo has been blunt in arguing the negative vote on the 2019 accounts presented at the September ordinary plenary session by the Councilor for Finance Eduardo Martínez-Oliva.

Ginés Ruiz Maciá has rejected, on behalf of the two mayors of Podemos-Equo, some budgets that, “are late, because today we would have to be talking about the 2020 accounts†and that, therefore, “it is a fiction budget, that will not have any practical virtuality â€

On the other hand, Ruiz Maciá has assured in his presentation that the budget project presented by the government of the Popular Party and Citizens states “that the vast majority of current expenditure responds to the payment of outsourced services, making the City Council, which should be a provider of services, in a contract intermediary, something that we obviously cannot agree with â€.

The spokesman has also insisted that these accounts “do not contribute to improving the life of the inhabitants of the municipality†because “they include what they call emblematic projects that, we understand, are designed to greater glory of the current government team, and especially of its mayor , but not to establish a rational and sustainable municipality model â€.

On the other hand, the municipal group Podemos-Equo has adhered to the institutional declaration presented by all the groups after the passage of DANA and its consequent declaration of catastrophic zone of the municipality.

The two councilors of the group have also been favorable to the request of information to ADIF about the works of the AVE at the height of the Vereda Tábala.

With respect to the motions of the municipal group Podemos-Equo, two proposals have been submitted.

The first has been aimed at ensuring the health and safety of children in school settings.

All the groups have adhered to this motion and, therefore, it has come forward.

The second has urged the government team to undertake the necessary measures to end the consumption of single-use plastics and propose advertising campaigns aimed at raising awareness among Murcia and Murcia of the importance of caring for and protecting the environment.

This proposal has had the favorable votes of the popular, socialist and Citizen groups and the abstention of the Vox group.
