The PSOE criticizes the PP to leave 40 students from CEIP Rafael Nicolás Raya, from Sangonera la Verde, without transportation to the dining room (25/09/2019)

The incompetence of the City of Murcia and the Ministry of Education has caused parents to concentrate at the entrance of the school to protest this situation, since they do not understand that from one year to another they are left without a bus and nobody gives them a solution

Councilors Antonio Benito and Enrique Lorca have come this morning, at the request of the parents of the CEIP Rafael Nicolás Raya, located in Sangonera la Verde, to the concentration they have made at the entrance of the school.

Their motive is to protest the elimination of the transport they used for their sons and daughters to travel from this center, to the CEIP Antonio Delgado Dorrego, who is the only one who has a dining room in this district.

The parents state that "we have spoken on several occasions with the Department of Pedanías and with those responsible for the Ministry of Education and do not guarantee us a solution to this problem, which does not allow us to reconcile, since most of us work and cannot come for our sons and daughters to take them to eat. "

Antonio Benito criticizes that "the fathers and mothers have been demanding that this service be guaranteed for months and since the PSOE we have demanded a solution, we also have 15 families, of the almost 40 affected, have Social Services scholarships for the dining room".

"We do not know if it is an administrative or economic problem, what we do know is that we must give a quick solution to these families," says Benito, who states that "the PP always chooses to let the problems be solved alone."

In addition fathers and mothers criticize that "the school canteen was promised but we know nothing at all, nobody has told us if it will be done or when, they probably promise us what other parents might enjoy because ours will no longer be here."

From the Socialist Group, the councilman demands "that there must be political will to solve this problem that is serious for many of the families, especially for those who do not have alternatives to the transportation of school children in the center. That is why we claim the Department of Pedanías to coordinate with the Ministry of Education to ensure a basic service for families. "
