Another of the Chinese cities with which Murcia maintains institutional relations is Weifang (9 million inhabitants), located in Shandong Province.

This weekend, in addition, the city of Nanning has inaugurated its National Garden, baptized as the Silk Garden, a Mediterranean-inspired creation designed by the Muher studio, by architects Manuel Herrera and Francisca Muñoz, who have been based on the inheritance left by the silk trade in Murcia when creating it.
