The PSOE raises bonuses in the IBI and the Vehicle Tax for the victims of the DANA (16/09/2019)

The Socialist Municipal Group asked last Saturday to make available to the neighbors of the municipality of Murcia, affected by the floods, the money consigned as a Contingency Fund and, today, after checking the state of so many homes and talking with the victims, "we believe that we must take another step approving bonuses in the Property Tax (IBI) and in Vehicles because the situation is quite tough," said Councilors Carmen Fructuoso and Juan Vicente Larrosa.

Both, who have been in El Raal and Alquerías these days with the neighbors, checking the damage left by the DANA (Isolated Depression in High Levels) or cold drop, consider it appropriate to offer all the support and help needed by those affected and "be as soon as possible"

In this sense, Fructuoso affirms that "on the part of the Socialist Group we are willing to vote in favor of releasing the almost two million euros of the Contingency Fund and, if it is necessary to convene a Plenary for this to be done tomorrow."

In addition, "if the government team plans to increase the money of that Fund, it will also have the support of the councilors and socialist councilors," since "we are very afraid that the damage caused by the storm is economically greater than the € 1.9M item for emergencies ".

For his part, Councilman Juan Vicente Larrosa points out that another of the measures that should be taken is the displacement of municipal technicians and the Autonomous Community to the areas of greatest disaster, "in order to conduct a rigorous damage assessment and, thus , when the foreseeable municipal, regional and state aid arrives, let's get the job done.
