We can-Equo: "We should be debating the 2020 budgets and today we don't know if the 2019 ones are written" (10/09/2019)

The Podemos-Equo municipal group asks the Glorieta government to clarify what is happening with the 2019 budgets, "of which we know nothing."

Its spokesman, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, does not understand how, already in September, municipal accounts are not a priority for the coalition formed by the Popular Party and Citizens.

"We were told that they would take an extraordinary plenary session in August, which already meant approving budgets for only 4 months, but we are almost mid-September already and we still have no news, so in addition to leaving, it seems that PP and Cs they are not agreeing to finish the budget proposal. "

"It is a serious damage for the citizens of the municipality of Murcia that in September the accounts for the year 2019 are not yet presented, much less approved."

The Podemos-Equo municipal group has demanded that the Glorieta government, formed by the Popular Party and Citizens, "clarify why we don't know anything about budgets today."

For Ginés Ruiz Maciá, spokesman of the group, both formations must give explanations and "put the batteries to present a draft budget, because we are in September and, at this time, we should be talking about the accounts of the year 2020".

For the Podemos-Equo municipal group, this delay can only have one reason, "the lack of understanding between the Popular Party and Citizens, unable to agree and move forward with the 2019 accounts."

In fact, as Ginés Ruiz Maciá points out, "in just two months we have already witnessed accusations and some disagreement between councilors of the two formations. If they are not able to agree on other issues, how are they going to be in tune? when it comes to agreeing on something as important as budgets? "

Podemos-Equo has demanded "responsibility and management capacity" to the coalition formed by the Popular Party and Citizens and "speed to move forward with the accounts of 2019", adding "that the PP reached May without a proposal for budgets was already a failure; that between the PP and Citizens have not been able to bring them to the date in which we are, in addition to an even greater failure, evidence that the coalition is not able to govern the municipality.
